Admission Deposit Payments
Welcome New Students!
We're glad you chose JMU. You have a variety of payment options for your Admission Deposit.
Pay with a check - Checks can be mailed to our office through the Postal Service or other mail services. There is no need to choose expedited (or other extra cost shipping) for your deposit. Any admission deposit with a postmark date on or before the due date will be posted. Our mailing address is available on our main page on the left side of the home page.
Pay with an electronic check - An electronic check is a direct debit from your bank account. You enter your routing and account number and our processor handles the rest. Deposit payments made online on or before the due date will meet the deadline. Please go to MyMadison to pay your deposit via eCheck. You will need your username and password to login. Parents can make a payment under the Guest Center with the student's ID and last name.
Pay with a credit card - We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards. If you choose to pay with a credit card there is a 2.75% service charge in addition to the deposit amount. As with electronic check payments, credit card payments made on or before the due date will meet the deadline. Please go to MyMadison to pay your deposit via credit card. You will need your username and password to login. Parents can make a payment under the Guest Center with the student's ID and last name.
What happens next - We post Admission deposits within two business days of receipt. For electronic payments that's two days after you submit the payment. For checks, it's two days after the payment arrives in our office. Regardless of how you pay your deposit, the student can expect to receive an email welcoming them once the deposit posts to their account. At that time, incoming First-year and Transfer students are required to change their e-ID password so they can sign into the One Book website through the Orientation Website and begin their One Book steps.
