VIRGINIA Math Network

T/TAC staff provides training for teachers in Region 5 who want to better understand how children learn mathematics and how to make mathematics more accessible to students who struggle with this content area. Professional development focuses on best practices associated with conceptual understanding of math concepts, formative assessment and error analysis for math, teaching concrete-representational-abstract, inclusive practices in the math classroom, and data analysis. This training aims to advance math education through professional development for math teachers across the grades, especially those working with students with disabilities.
