Workshop Description: This workshop will provide information about the important policies and laws that protect all members of the JMU community and our visitors from harassment and discrimination.  In this session, find out what to do if you experience, observe or receive a report of discrimination, harassment or sexual misconduct.  You can lead the effort against sexual misconduct and discrimination; join us for this important workshop to learn more.  

In this workshop participants will:

  • Participants will be able to articulate the requirements of Policy 1324: Discrimination and Harassment and Title IX.
  • Participants will be able to recognize situations that violate Policy 1324: Discrimination and Harassment and Title IX and locate resources to address those situations appropriately.
  • Participants will be able to report policy and law violations to the appropriate university personnel.
