The Big Event

When: Saturday, April 14, 2012

Where: Harrisonburg and Rockingham County

The Big Event is a one-day, student-run community service project that provides JMU students with an opportunity to give back to the residents of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. Jobs are varied, and include painting, landcaping and cleaning.

In 2011, nearly 1,000 JMU students completed hundreds of jobs and helped make the inaugural event a huge success. This year, we are thrilled to open the opportunity to the thousands of JMU faculty and staff. Also, JMU alumni chapters across the country are doing their part as well -- teaming up to complete service projects in their city. Think about it: Dukes across the country banding together to make an impact, in a big way.  It's what we do. 

You can sign up individually, or with a team. If you sign up individually, we will pair you with other JMU students who are interested in making a difference. If you have a team, please make sure to enter the team or organization name below.
