The following schedule has been established for prospective students to visit the School and facilities during the fall and spring semesters of the 2016-2017 academic year:
Selected Fridays: 1:30PM, at the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts (please meet in the Theatre & Dance main office suite on the second floor, Estes 2211). Visitation days will include an opportunity for you to ask questions, and tour the Forbes Center facilities. To register for one of the Friday visit dates, please email THEATREDANCE@jmu.edu AFTER August 28. Be sure you specify the program or programs (Theatre, Musical Theatre, Dance) in which you are interested and the date you want to visit JMU. Please include your full name, address, phone number and email. You will receive a confirmation email from the School of Theatre & Dance verifying your reservation.
*October 15, and November 12 are SATURDAY James Madison University Admissions Open House events. The College of Visual and Performing Arts and the School of Theatre & Dance will be participating in these events. To attend either of these dates register through the admissions office: jmu.edu/admissions/openhouses/ The Theatre & Dance information session and tours will follow the schedule published by the admissions office for the day.

The College of Visual and Performing Arts and The School of Theatre & Dance will also be participating in the CHOICES events for academically admitted students. Go to jmu.edu/choices/ for more information.

2/24– Guys and Dolls (faculty directed)
4/28 – Picnic (faculty directed)
Additional spring 2017 visitation days may be added once we have solidified the student directed spring Studio Theatre Production Schedule.
Please note: An audition is REQUIRED for admission to the Musical Theatre or the Theatre majors, and to be considered for School of Theatre and Dance scholarships.
