Pre-requisites: None

Description:

We all know what engaged employees look like. They are enthusiastic about their work. They care about the organization and its goals. They’re willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. Is that what you see when you look around?

Based on Patrick Lencioni’s book, The Three Signs of a Miserable Job, this training enables us to learn the keys to transforming any job to be more rewarding and fulfilling. Employees who feel rewarded and fulfilled experience greater job satisfaction which leads to improved performance. That’s a real win/win!

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Examine the three underlying factors that make a job miserable
    • Anonymity
    • Irrelevance
    • Immeasurement
  • Identify the costs of job misery and the benefits of reducing it
  • Explore how susceptible we are to each of the Three Signs, our own strengths and weaknesses as managers
  • Learn how to identify whether our direct reports are miserable
  • Develop strategies for improving job satisfaction by eliminating the Three Signs in our workplace
