Note: This workshop is capped at 16 participants

Total Workshop Time: 3.5 Hours

Pre-requisites: None

Description:

Fewer than a quarter of us play to our strengths. We spend a lot of time and effort trying to improve our weak areas when, in reality, we should be leveraging our strengths. You have two options, continue working on your weaknesses or learn how to make the most of your strengths. Come to this workshop to learn how to make the most of what you're already good at!

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn why strengths are not “what you are good at” and weaknesses are not “what you are bad at”
  • Identify specific Strengths
  • Discuss obstacles that prevent people from playing out their strengths
  • Learn how to overcome obstacles
  • Determine actions that can be taken to leverage your Strengths
  • Leverage the Strengths of others

This workshop is based on the book Go Put Your Strengths to Work by Marcus Buckingham.

Facilitated by: Gail Napora, Professional Development Specialist, Talent Development and Michael R. McCleve, Associate Director, Dux Center
