Description:

Want to know if the Administrative Assistant Certificate Program (AACP) is for you? Do you need to get up to speed quickly as a new administrative assistant at JMU? Do you want to have the opportunity to network with other administrative assistants from throughout campus? Maybe you’re looking to make a change and you want to gain knowledge and skills to help you move into an administrative assistant role. If any of these scenarios ring true, then the AACP program is for you!

This course provides an overview of the AACP and gives you information on how to get the most out of your AACP experience. We encourage you to take this workshop at the beginning of your participation in the program.  Bring your signed Notice of Intent to Participate form and let’s get started! 

In this workshop participants will:

  • Learn the components of the AACP and the value of the program for them
  • Hear how to create a successful AACP path
  • Decide if the program can help them achieve professional development goals
