Shenandoah National Park Medicinal Plants
The Synthesis Support Center is assisting the Shenandoah National Park's Law Enforcement Division in the development of a comprehensive Information Management System (IMS). The IMS will handle the large volumes of data on the illegal harvest of medicinal plants from the park. This is the first project that the SSC has developed and worked with its conceptual phase to a finished product. The team also presented an early version of product to the Law Enforcement Division at the Shenandoah Headquarters in order to demonstrate its usefulness. The Shenandoah project was this project was pivital in the development of the center as a viable resource for all Synthesis users in the Southeast region of the United States.
