10 Things Students Should Know about JMU Mail Services
| 1. | JMU Mail Services is operated by Pitney Bowes Management Services. |
| 2. | All mail received by Mail Services is put in student boxes that same day. It usually takes until at least 5:00 PM to get all mail in boxes. |
| 3. | Outgoing mail is picked up by the United States Postal Service at 2:45 and at 4:00 PM Monday-Friday and at 2:00 PM on Saturday. |
| 4. | Many students share a box. Please make sure you do not take someone else's mail. |
| 5. | The Mail Services Window is open Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM during the Academic Year. Summer hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. |
| 6. | A picture ID is required when writing checks, or picking up packages. |
| 7. | JMU Mail Services does not accept credit cards, please feel free to pay using cash, check, or flex. |
| 8. | If newspapers are not picked up daily, they are removed from the P.O. Boxes. |
| 9. | When someone sends you mail, they should always address it using your full name including middle initial, nicknames should never be used. This will help cut down on confusion and speed the processing of your mail. |
| 10. | Please don't push mail out of boxes. If box is full, please tell the clerk at the Mail Services Window and we will take care of it. |
