How to Find a Part-Time Job





  1. Find On-Campus (IE or FWS) Jobs
  2. Find Off-Campus Part-Time Jobs
  3. Find Dining Services Jobs
  4. Find Bookstore Jobs




















Finding an On-Campus Position:


First: Create an Application on JMU JobLink

  1. Go to JMU JobLink
  2. Click on "CREATE APPLICATION", located on the left side.
  3. Select "Student Applicant"
  4. Create a Username and Password (this does not have to be the same as your JMU eID and password)
  5. Create a secret question in case you forget your password.
  6. Fill out the application (6 pages)

Second: Apply for Positions

  1. Go here to view the open positions.
  2. Click "view" to read the Job Details.
  3. Click on "APPLY FOR THIS POSTING" or "Return to Search Results" to see other positions.
  4. Once you hit the "APPLY FOR THIS POSTING" button, you will need to sign in with your username and password.
  5. Verify the information in your application is correct.
    **Once you submit your application, you will not be able to make changes**
  6. Answer any supplemental questions.
  7. Attach any optional or required documents.

Finding an Off-Campus Position:

  1. Go to the Off Campus Job Announcement page on the Student Employment Website.
    **Check this page often because jobs are posted regularly**
  2. Click on the position title to see the full description.
  3. Apply directly with the off-campus employer.
