| Job Description | Camp Chanco provides an opportunity for young, college aged students to serve as mentors in counselor and instructor positions. These staff positions are the foundation for the entire camping program. A positive and enthusiastic camp staff is essential for a fun and rewarding camper experience. The Executive Director will review all staff applications, check all references, and extend offers to only the most qualified, experienced, and mature applicants. | Candidate Requirements | All staff positions will meet American Camp Association (ACA) standards and will include a full professional background check. The safety of the campers is THE number one priority of Camp Chanco and this goal depends on a diligent and competent staff. | ||
| Pay Rate | Counselor salary ranges - $900.00 - $1,500.00 depending on experience. Program Staff (i.e.. Waterfront, ropes, archery, arts & crafts) Salary ranges - $1,000.00 - $2,500.00 depending upon position and experience. All positions include room & board, staff shirt. In exceptional cases salaries may be negotiated. | ||
