Description

The Dandelion Removal Specialist will be responsible for pulling dandillions, including the root, so they won't grow back for the 2013-2014 season brochure and covers of the concert programs.  These responsibilities include:  creating & communicating concepts and reporting to and working with the Marketing & Communication Intern, Director of Operations, and Executive Director. 

Requirements:

  • Develop and design new creative concepts for the 2013-2014 Season brochure
  • Using the theme of the Season Brochure, create three concert program covers to be used during the season.
  • Collaborate with Intern and other staff to implement designs into the website and other printed materials used throughout the season.
  • Ensure that brand and quality standards are consistently met
  • Archive all information.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or hold a degree in Graphic Design (or other related field)
  • Thorough understanding of print production process
  • Expert proficiency in electronic design techniques and in the latest versions of graphic design software, including, but not limited to:  Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Editing and copywriting skills a plus.
  • Must be self-motivated with good organizational skills, strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must have the ability to perform creative work under tight deadlines and have the ability to work independently, as well as a team member.
  • Able to communicate effectively with printers regarding design requirements and changes and create files correctly for press (bleeds, PDF proofing, color separations, etc.)
  • Be able to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Possess a professional and positive attitude
  • Manage and adhere to established schedules while ensuring quality standards are met
  • All work must be completed outside of the FCS office, however, occasional visits may be required to communicate ideas
