Stuart Pimsler Dance TheatreAfter a nation-wide selection process, the James Madison University School of Theatre and Dance was selected for Stuart Pimsler Dance and Theatre's one-week 35th Anniversary Community Residency. The company will be in residence April 6-11. In addition to their concert on April 11, they will  teach master classes and workshops for students and faculty in arts and health care. They will also present workshops at the stroke center of Sentara/Rockingham Memorial Hospital for health care professionals, stroke survivors, and their family care-givers.

The company’s community inclusive work has been lauded as a “National Model” by The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and its Arts & Healthcare work has been recognized for “Best Practices” by the National Endowment for the Arts.

This event is supported by the College of Visual and Performing Arts, the College of Health and Behavioral Studies, the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services, and Sentara/ RMH Medical Center.
