Open Call for Proposals

2014 January Symposium Proposals

5th Annual January Symposium- January 8-10, 2013

The Center for Faculty Innovation (CFI) welcomes session proposals for the 5th Annual January Symposium, which offers professional development opportunities related to research and scholarship.  Through the event, faculty encounter diverse forms of scholarship, enhance their productivity, form collaborative research projects, advance scholarly skills, explore funding opportunities, and integrate scholarship, teaching, and other career aspirations.

Over the years, the CFI has worked closely with a number of authentic partners to offer an array of workshops, scholarly talks, and faculty communities. Participation and popularity have grown steadily each year. This year’s open proposal format broadens and enriches offerings, making January Symposium more inclusive and responsive to faculty research and scholarship needs.

The CFI is here to help your ideas become part of the January Symposium tradition.  Please consider submitting a proposal for a January Symposium session.  The January Symposium Planning Committee will review proposals and work with facilitators to ensure session design aligns with program outcomes. Not all proposals may be accepted given the limited time slots available.  Proposal submissions for institutes, workshops, roundtables, scholarly talks, and scholarly communities, such as lockdowns and faculty interest groups, are welcome.
