Description

Association of Energy Engineers

Committed to helping the local community increase energy efficiency, utilize innovative energy service options, enhance environmental management programs, and improve equipment performance.

Clean Energy Coalition

A federation of multiple student organizations to promote clean energy sources; designed and ran Green Wars among JMU dormitories to reduce energy and water usage; winner of a $1,000 eco-grant from MTV in its 2006 national Break the Addiction Challenge.  Co-organized Recyclemania (http://www.recyclemaniacs.org/Index.htm) with JMU’s Facilities Management and placed in national competition.

EARTH (Environmental Awareness & Restoration Through our Help)

Focuses not only on education, but also on activism; by working on campus, local, state and national issues, members learn about topics that affect the world and explore how they can make a difference.

Environmental Business Club

Educates faculty, students, and staff about different environmental issues facing modern business; provides forum for new enviro-business ideas.

Environmental Management Club

Provides means for students to advance understandings of environmental management by interacting with professionals in environmental fields; addresses local issues through service and education.
