IRB protocols will be reviewed approximately 1-2 times per month. It is possible that some of these dates may change, depending on circumstances. Any significant modification will be posted on this website.

All projects are to be submitted to the Office of Sponsored Programs Administration both electronically (jmu_grants@jmu.edu) and in hard copy (MSC 5728).

PLEASE NOTE:

• Protocol Submission Deadline: 5:00 PM – Friday 1 week prior to Scheduled Meeting Date
• All protocols submitted AFTER the deadline WILL NOT be reviewed until the NEXT scheduled meeting!
• IMPORTANT NOTICE: While you may have met the submission deadline, this is not a guarantee that your protocol will be reviewed at the upcoming meeting. If revisions are requested, please submit your revised protocol in a timely manner to allow sufficient time for the committee to review.
• Please note: The submission deadline is only for those studies requiring Full Board review. Exempt and Expedited protocols may be submitted at any time and are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
