The CRI program drives discovery and learning in the core CISE disciplines of the three participating CISE divisions by supporting the creation and enhancement of world-class research infrastructure that will support focused research agendas in computer and information science and engineering.

For this program there will be two types of awards:

  1. Institutional Infrastructure (II)- supports the creation of new or enhancements to existing CISE research infrastructure, limit to 3 proposals per institution
  2. Community Infrastructure (CI)- supports the planning and creation of new CISE community research infrastructure or the enhancement or sustainment of existing community infrastructure, each award may support the operation of the infrastructure

 Award: Up to 15 II and 15 CI awards are expected to be made with II awards spanning $200,000-$750,000 and CI awards ranging between $500,000-$1,000,000, CI-planning awards should range between $50,000-$100,000

Due Date: Preliminary proposals (required) are due 11/7/2018 and full proposals are due 1/10/2019
