Alumni Profile - Chris Heck

1980 JMU-BSW Graduate

Chris went on to get her MSW from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Advanced Standing Program.  She worked in mental health, inpatient psychiatric social work in Indiana until 1992 when she became the Director of Social Work at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati for 19 years. Still in Cincinnati, she is the Manager of the social work department at Christ Hospital.  She says she has had an exciting career working in the mental health/health care system.
