James Madison University's Assistant Professor, Dr. Kerry Dobransky, is the recipient of the 2010 Roberta G. Simmons Outstanding Dissertation in Medical Sociology Award. The submissions were highly competitive and only one is awarded each year. Dr. Dobransky will receive a $750 travel grant to attend the American Sociological Association annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia this summer and attended the Reeder dinner as a guest of the Medical Sociology section.
Dr. Debransky has also been awarded the best dissertation award for the Mental Health section of the American Sociological Association as well!
