Glenn Østen Anderson is an award-winning documentary producer and journalist from Alexandria, Virginia. In 2015 he left his role as the Senior Producer for Social News and Streaming Video for BBC News in the US. Before joining the BBC, Glenn spent a decade working as a freelance and staff producer/journalist at outlets and publications including Military.com, CBS College Sports (CSTV), Financial Times - Money Media, The Guardian (UK) and Runner's World - Rodale, to name a few.  

His work has taken him from college football fields in Alabama, to refugee camps in Haiti and war zones in Afghanistan. His 2009 Runner's World documentary series about injured FDNY firefighter Matt Long earned him a Webby People's Voice Award for Best Sports Video.

In 2014 Glenn partnered with Seattle-based producer Ian Connors to release the documentary short film "To Remember" - the film went on to be broadcast in 170 countries, was an official selection at Washington DC's GI Film Festival and earned a Silver Telly Award.  

Glenn currently works as a producer, educator and consultant in Washington, DC. 

Glenn is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (BA 2002), University of Oxford-Wadham College (MSt 2003) & NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film program (MFA).
