Program Description

This program is designed for applicants who have full-time jobs and want to further their education in the Spanish field. Students in the Spanish Language and Culture for Educators and Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language (SLC) program are exposed to the Spanish culture and life in Europe and in the United States. Candidates to the program should be comfortable interacting with people from other cultures and backgrounds and should be enthusiastic about improving their Spanish language skills. 

Students who apply to the program are expected to demonstrate a B2 level of Spanish according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In addition, all applicants must take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). All courses taught by USAL faculty will be in Spanish. For international students, TOEFL is necessary. The faculty for the program will consist of professors from both universities who will work collaboratively to provide students with a rewarding experience.
