Scholarship History:

Established in 1988 by Ron and Joyce Borofski in memory of their daughter, Brenda.  Brenda was a political science major from Annandale, Virginia.  She was a loyal and active member of Alpha Sigma Tau.  She was friendly and outspoken and active on campus and in her community.  This scholarship is given in hopes of keeping her spirit alive in the hearts of all sisters of Alpha Sigma Tau.

Scholarship History:

Established by the friends and family of Robert Michael Harper '81 in May 1992.  Michael graduated from JMU with a B.S. in geology.  He had been a member of the football team and Alpha Chi Rho.  He was an avid skier, hunter and golfer and was a member of a kayak club in Pittsburgh, PA.  He worked as a hydro-geologist with the Department of Environmental Resources in Crawford County, PA.  He was killed in a car accident in February 1992.
