Dean's Scholarship Fund in the College of Visual and Performing Arts by James and Gladys Kemp ('49)
 Criteria:

 Information:
The Dean's Scholarship Fund in the College of Visual and Performing Arts by James and Gladys Kemp ('49) Lisanby. To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be an incoming freshman or transfer student who has demonstrated by excellence in both classroom work and artistic endeavors a capacity to make a substantive contribution to the university community - and, advance the student's own academic and career ambitions. The selection of Lisanby Scholars shall be made in a manner determined at the discretion of the Dean for the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Beyond the above criteria, the appointment of a student to receive this scholarship shall follow the University's guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
 

Carla Mumbert Frazier Memorial Scholarship Endowment in Art
 Criteria:

     Freshman Only? No
 Information:

An endowed scholarship created with a gift from the R. B. Frazier Family for JMU students who are pursuing the study of Art as their major, with Ceramics as their concentration.

This scholarship, to be known as the Carla Mumbert Frazier Memorial Scholarship Endowment in Art, will provide financial resources annually to assist one (or more) student(s) who are pursuing an academic course of study in Art and, as a concentration within an Art major, the study of Ceramics. While students may be appointed as Carla Mumbert Frazier Scholars either by demonstrating a need for financial assistance, as determined by the university's Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, or on the basis of their demonstrated academic merit, the donor directs that the successful candidate for this scholarship must demonstrate creativity and a love of art. The family notes that this scholarship remembers Carla Mumbert Frazier, a member of the Class of 1982 who shared her creativity and love of art in all that she did.

The appointment of students as Carla Mumbert Frazier Scholars shall be made in a manner determined at the discretion of the Dean for the College of Visual & Performing Arts, mindful of the above criteria. Beyond these criteria, the appointment of students to receive this scholarship shall follow the university's guidelines for the awarding of scholarships.
 

Suzanne Luck Memorial Endowment for Scholarships in the College of Visual & Performing Arts
 Criteria:
     Need Based? No
     Freshman Only? No
 Information:

An endowed scholarship established with a testamentary gift by Suzanne Luck, JMU Class of 1971 to provide scholarships for students in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
 

Anna Moffatt McCormick '50 Strings Scholarship Endowment
 Criteria:
     Need Based? No
     Freshman Only? No
 Information:
An endowed scholarship established with a gift from Anna Moffatt McCormick, a member of the Class of 1950, to support scholarships for students in the Strings program within the JMU School of Music, a purpose that honors her own love for classical music and her passion for the violin. The scholarships may be awarded either on the basis of merit or need, at the discretion of the Dean for the College of Visual & Performing Arts; and, in the event that a potential scholarship recipient's need for financial assistance is the basis for the selection, then the determination as to need shall be made by the university's office of financial aid & scholarships.
 

Performing Arts Center Seat Campaign

 Information:

Established with charitable contributions to the Performing Arts Center Seat Campaign, these gifts will be used for scholarships/recruiting for the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
