Scholarship Overview

An endowed scholarship established with the residual estate of Myra Fensterwald Meehan Doherty, Class of 1949, who died on March 27, 2004. Ms. Doherty directed in her Last Will and Testament that the James Madison University Foundation, Inc. set up a scholarship fund for needy and deserving students who have no known discipline problems and are not known to abuse drugs or alcohol. If a recipient or potential recipient is found to have violated the foregoing conditions, then they are to be or become ineligible to receive any funds.

Only the needy and deserving students who have a minimum "B" average, cumulative, and who continue to maintain the minimum of a "B" average will be eligible for the scholarship funds.
