Scholarship Overview

An endowed scholarship established by Dr. John H. Harding, Jr., DDS of Burgess, Virginia in honor of his father, John H. Harding, for his encouragement, love and support. Recipients must be selected from one of the four counties of the Northern Neck of Virginia (Northumberland, Lancaster, Richmond and Westmoreland). However, any descendent or relative of John H. Harding shall be given preference and can be from any area of the US. Applicants shall be recommended by JMU Office of Admissions. Awards shall be made by the JMU Office of Financial Aid. Recipients shall have completed High School in good standing and have a serious sense of purpose in acquiring a college education. Income shall be expended on an annual basis as scholarship awards, one half each semester.
