This Summary statement is provided in response to all enrollment and employment related inquiries to Human Resources, Admissions, Graduate office, Academic Affairs, Public Safety, and other points of contact in the James Madison University community as required by the Campus Crime Act now referred to as the Clery...Disclosure... Act:
"Your Right to Know"
Your personal safety and the security of the campus community are of vital concern to James Madison University. A copy of the university's annual security report is available upon request. This report includes statistics for the most recent three-year period concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by James Madison University, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes information regarding the law enforcement authority of the university police; policies concerning campus security, such as crime prevention, alcohol and drug use, sexual assault, reporting of any crimes which may occur on the campus.
