Radio Frequency Radiation Limits Message

Attached is a copy of the "Commonwealth of Virginia's RF Radiation Exposure Compliance Plan for Building and Tower-based Antenna Sites, Mobiles and Maintenance" under which we must comply. The RF Exposure Compliance Plan was brought to our attention during a recent visit from Paul Hoppes, Director of the VA Department of Information Technology. Please review the plan to see how it will affect your areas within the operation of the University. Mr. Hoppes suggested that coordination of the compliance efforts be centrally located with the office primarily responcible for Radio Communications Management on Campus, which would most likely be Telecom. He did indicate that it would require combined efforts from all involved parties to successfully carry out full compliance in an effective and efficient manner.
