  3. Safe Operation

    1. Read and follow instructions

    2. Inspect before using

    3. Ensure proper fuel/oil ratio

    4. When re-fueling, no smoking or fueling a hot saw

    5. Gas should be stored in approved safety container

    1. Wear long pants

    2. No jewelry

    3. Steel toed shoes

    4. Gloves, eye & face shield, hearing protection

  5. Safety Tips

    1. Should only drop start in certain conditions

    2. Don't carry on your shoulder

    3. Carry with blade facing toward the back in case of fall

    4. Pull starter cord away from body, and don't wrap cord around you hand

    5. When working in tree - use rope to pull saw up when in place - don't climb with saw

    6. Trim brush and undergrowth first

    7. Aware of surroundings - people, objects

    8. When saw in operation - maintain 6 ft distance from others

    9. Use two hands to control saw (help prevent kickbacks)

    10. Steady base, spread feet apart
