Mission Statement

Through efforts to make the campus attractive, safe and friendly the Office of Risk Management support the educational purpose and goals of James Madison University as one of the nation's leading institutions of higher learning. By proactively identifying and dealing with the conditions and practices which cause injury and loss, and by maintaining a comprehensive risk management program to protect the university against losses that occur, the Office of Risk Management will endeavor to protect the University from exposure which could impede its mission.
