Research Compliance
The Office of Research Compliance (ORC) http://www.jmu.edu/sponsprog/complianceplan.htm, a unit within Research and Public Service and a division of Academic Affairs, is to support and promote ethical research practices at James Madison University.  ORC serves the JMU research community by coordinating institution-wide research compliance policies and procedures development, and by partnering with researchers, so that the University is compliant with federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as University policies. The conduct of research at the University is governed by the rules and policies promulgated by the Federal government, Commonwealth of Virginia and James Madison University.
