Description

In support of the University’s Defining Characteristic to, “integrate scholarship, service and teaching to enhance student learning and provide a challenging and supportive environment with a heightened sense of intellectual stimulation”, the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Research and Scholarship recognizes innovative and sustained activities in scholarly pursuits across academic disciplines. This award recognizes scholarship in its broadest definition, moving beyond traditional concepts of research to include how exploration (theory, research), expression of results (publication, performance) and practice (teaching, application) impact the global community. Recipients of the Provost's Award provide our students with a stimulating environment that fosters learning and affirms the University as an intellectual and cultural leader.
