Withdrawing from a class after the drop deadline results in a 'W' on your transcript and corresponding tuition charges if applicable.

No Classes 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Evening classes (those beginning 4 p.m. or later) meet as scheduled.

February 28, 2012
8W1 (First Block) classes end.

March 5-9, 2012
Spring Break, no classes

March 12, 2012
8W2 (Second Block) classes begin.

March 16, 2012
Course adjustment deadline for semester classes.  Last day to withdraw from semester classes or make grading option changes, including repeat options.

March 19, 2012
Last day to add or drop an 8W2 (Second Block) class.
Withdrawing from a class after the drop deadline results in a 'W' on your transcript and corresponding tuition charges if applicable.

March 28, 2012
Last day to add an 8W2 (Second Block) class with departmental permission.

Transcripts

Note to Current Students:
To ensure the release of a complete official transcript, please verify on your unofficial transcript that your degree conferral and/or semester grades have been posted before ordering.

Requesting a copy of your transcript may be done by one of the following three methods:
  • Via MyMadison
    This applies to current students and Alumni from fall 2005 onward. This instructional sheet includes how to reset your password if it has expired or is forgotten.
  • Via the Transcript Request Form (.PDF)
    (Please note that this transcript request form must have your signature as we cannot release a transcript without a written signature.  The completed forms may be faxed, mailed, emailed or for your convenience, are available at the Registrar's office on the 3rd and 5th floors of Warren Hall.)
  • Via a written letter with the following information:
  1. full name (please include middle name or initial)
  2. name while at JMU if different from above
  3. date of birth
  4. student i.d. number (only if known)
  5. home address
  6. address(es) where you want the transcript mailed
  7. phone number to reach you at if there is a problem with your request
  8. number of copies requested for each address
  9. reason for the request
  10. dates of attendance
  11. signature(we must have your written signature before we can release the transcript )

Transcript requests may be dropped off at the Office of the Registrar, Client Services Office, located on the 3rd floor of Warren Hall.  The requests can also be mailed, faxed or emailed to the Office of the Registrar, using the information below:

Transcripts will be mailed or emailed within five business days from when the request is received. Sorry, we cannot fax either Official or Unofficial transcripts.

There is no charge for transcripts.

Note:  JMU is now a participating member of the eScrip-Safe electronic transcript network.  Students who have attended JMU since fall 1995, may request a transcript be sent electronically via the Transcript Request Form or e-Campus.  If the institution receiving your transcript is an eScrip-Safe member, please indicate the full name of the institution as well as which office will receive the transcript: i.e., undergraduate admissions. See link below.

If the recipient of your transcript is not an eScrip-Safe network member, please provide their exact email address.  Before ordering your transcript, contact the recipient to determine if they will accept an electronic transcript in their email.
