Effective August 1, 2011, the Veterans Educational Assistance Improvements Act of 2010 (Public Law 111-377) allows for reimbursement of fees paid to take national exams (SAT, ACT, GMAT, LSAT).
If you're currently receiving benefits under Post-9/11 and you wish to get reimbursed for a test, you just need to fill out and submit VA Form 22-0803. Along with the form, you also need to submit: test results (OR license/certification you received as a result of passing the test AND a copy of the receipt which shows how much you paid to take the test).
If you have NOT applied for education benefits and want to get reimbursed for a test, then you will need to submit an application for education benefits along with VA-Form 22-0803. If you're a veteran or service member, then you'll need to complete VA Form 22-1990. If you're the dependent, then you'll need to complete VA Form 22-1990E.
