Withdrawing from a class after the drop deadline results in a 'W' on your transcript and corresponding tuition charges if applicable.

Faculty Assistance Day
No Classes 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Evening classes (those beginning 4 p.m. or later) meet as scheduled.

February 28, 2012
8W1 (First Block) classes end.

March 5-9, 2012
Spring Break, no classes

March 12, 2012
8W2 (Second Block) classes begin.

March 16, 2012
Course adjustment deadline for semester classes.  Last day to withdraw from semester classes or make grading option changes, including repeat options.

March 19, 2012
Last day to add or drop an 8W2 (Second Block) class.
Withdrawing from a class after the drop deadline results in a 'W' on your transcript and corresponding tuition charges if applicable.

March 28, 2012
Last day to add an 8W2 (Second Block) class with departmental permission.

Enrollment Verification


Current Students:

Requesting a copy of your enrollment verification may be done by one of the following four methods:

Via MyMadison:

Current students and alumni from Fall 2005 forward may order an enrollment verification through MyMadison.

Via student provided form:

If you have a form (insurance, scholarship, degree verification, etc.) that needs to be completed by a school official, please fill out as much of the form as possible. 

Via the Letter Request:

You may request an enrollment verification letter by completing the above form if you are unable to access MyMadison.

Via a written letter with the following information:

  1. Student’s full name, including middle name or initial.
  2. Student ID number, if known.
  3. Current phone number
  4. Information that should be included in the enrollment verification
  5. Address or fax number of enrollment verification recipient
  6. Student’s signature (We must have the student’s signature to release any protected academic information.)

Enrollment verification requests may be dropped off at the Office of the Registrar, Client Services Office, located on the 3rd floor of Warren Hall.  The requests can also be mailed, faxed or emailed to the Office of the Registrar using the information below:

Enrollment verifications will be processed within five business days of the day we receive your request.  If you have any questions, please contact the Office of the Registrar at (540) 568-6166.

Third Party Verifiers:

James Madison University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as our agent for all non-insurance related verifications of student enrollment. Please visit the Clearinghouse online at www.studentclearinghouse.org or contact them by phone at (703) 742-4200.
