Heather Reid
Heather joined the UREC team as the Office Manager in 2006. Heather supervises 4 student office assistants, assists the director in an administrative capacity and keeps the professional staff office running smoothly.
Prior to her experience at UREC, Heather worked at the JMU Graduate School for three years as an Administrative Assistant and before that she worked at the Office of the Registrar.
Heather is from Broadway, Virginia. She is happily married to her husband Jeff and has three kids, two boys (Kele and Hayden) and one girl (Kaitlynn). She also has two dogs, a German Shephard (Blue) and a Yellow Lab (Lady). They also have a cat (Elroy) and a hedgehog (Hedgie). Heather enjoys coaching her kid’s basketball team, riding her 4-wheeler, playing flag football, playing basketball, and going to rock concerts. Her favorite bands are Motley Crew, Godsmack and Nickelback. Her favorite activity at UREC is the Yoga class. Her favorite thing about UREC is the positive energy the students bring with them into the building.
