Mary Healey joined the UREC team in 2015 as the Coordinator of Group Exercise. Mary oversees all group exercise spaces and manages all group exercise instructors and managers, as well as all small group training programming.

Mary graduated from The University of West Florida where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. While at UWF, Mary worked her way around Campus Recreation as a Group Fitness Supervisor, Instructor, Building Manager and Fitness Attendant before taking a position as a Health Fitness & Group Exercise Specialist with Corporate Fitness Works in 2012. Mary then graduated from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with her Master of Science degree in Kinesiology, specializing in Sport and Exercise Behavior. While at SIUE Mary worked as the Fitness Graduate Assistant for Campus Recreation overseeing all group fitness and fitness floor staffing and programs. Mary is a member of NIRSA and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She is an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, an ACE certified Group Fitness Instructor, a SUP-Paddle Fit Core coach, a certified Pink Gloves Boxing Coach, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer as well as RealRyder Instructor certified.

Mary was raised in Pensacola, Florida along the Emerald Coast known for their gorgeous white sand beaches. She has traded in her flip flops for hiking boots and loves the great scenery the valley has to offer. She enjoys things such as cooking and going to concerts, as well as anything outside like bike riding, exploring and hiking. When she is not working out at UREC, Mary enjoys getting in a good sweat with her other gym family at Rocktown CrossFit.
