Dan is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Campus Recreation Leadership and is expected to graduate in May 2018. He is originally from Yonkers, New York and obtained his B.S. in Recreation Management from the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Cortland in May 2015.

Dan found his passion for recreation when he switched his major from Physical Education to Recreation Management in his junior year at SUNY Cortland. While he was at Cortland he was the Treasurer of Club Gymnastics for three years and was the Coordinator of the oldest student-run professional conference in the nation. His interest in student development and lifelong health and wellness led him to JMU.

Outside the office you might find Dan playing spikeball, doing backflips, performing some original hip-hop songs, or trying to convince someone that New York truly does have the best pizza and bagels. Dan loves to jam out to hip-hop music and has made it his life’s work to memorize the lyrics to as many songs as possible. His favorite quote is “if you want to go faster go alone; if you want to go farther go together.” - Unknown
