Alysia is pursuing a graduate degree in Campus Recreation Leadership and is expected to graduate in May 2018. She is originally from Staunton, VA and obtained her B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in May 2014.

During her time at UNC Charlotte, Alysia began working as a group fitness instructor. This led her to find her career path and major. She completed her senior internship at Hendrick Motor Sports working as a Strength and Conditioning coach. After college, she worked as a group fitness director at a gym. She is certified in AFAA Primary Group Fitness Instructor, ASFA Pilates, Barre Collective, and TRX Suspension Training.

Alysia spends her free time working out and focusing on her goals in fitness. She has a white German shepherd named Stella and a parrotlet named Tiki that she enjoys spending her free time at home with. She finds motivation in her favorite quote, "Your mind will give up 1000 times before your body will" - Unknown
