Holly Bailey
Holly Bailey joined the UREC team in 2006 as the Coordinator of Fitness and Nutrition Programs. Holly hires, staffs and trains students to work in the fitness areas and the assessment center which includes personal trainers and fitness and nutritional analysts. She also helps her staff design programs for their peers.
Holly graduated from Old Dominion University where she earned her undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine with an emphasis in Cardiac Rehabilitation. After several years of working as a Clinical Exercise Specialist in a hospital based facility, she went on to receive her masters’ degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from George Mason University. From 1996-2005 she taught part time for Northern Virginia Community College in the Physical Education department while raising her boys. After moving to Massanutten she taught online classes for NOVA and worked a lifeguard at the Massanutten Water Park. Holly is a member of NIRSA and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Holly is from central New Jersey, originally from the Bordentown area. She is married to her husband Stan who has worked in the automotive industry since college. Together they have two boys, Jeff and Alex. Holly loves to dance, read, and attend various youth sporting events. Holly’s favorite thing about UREC is the team atmosphere and the healthy environment. Her favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany’s and her favorite television shows include “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Dancing with the Stars”. Holly’s favorite type of music is disco and classic rock from the 1970’s.
