Volleyball - Women's

Info: Our mission is to play competitive intercollegiate volleyball while encouraging proper sportsmanship. Our goal is to form friendships that will enrich our colligate experience while engaging in fun. We have about 24-26 members.

We are in a league that consists of teams from North and South Carolina, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia. Our season lasts the entire school year. During the fall semester we typically participate in 3-4 tournaments. During the spring semester we typically participate in 5 tournaments, including a regional qualifier in Las Vegas, Nevada.  We also compete in a national championship consisting of teams from all over the country.

There are try-outs that are held once a scholastic year at the beginning of the Fall semester. The requirements to participate in this club include (but are not limited to): being at least a part time student at JMU, attending all practices that do not conflict with classes, and attending all club approved tournaments. Dues are collected at the beginning of the fall semester and are currently $200. This amount may increase or decrease due to financial demand.

We practice 4 days a week for 2 hours at a time. All practices are held at UREC in either the Main Gym or the MAC gym. The times range anywhere from 4-6 to 8-10 depending on the day and availability of facilities.
