Our goal as a club is to do our best at nationals and have a fun year! We work hard at practice and have several team bonding activities. View the Club Gymnastics Web Site!

Members
Club Gymnastics has about 35 active members who compete and a total of about 50 members. Our members come from a wide variety of skill levels. Some competed level 9/10 and many members had never tried gymnastics before they joined!

Executive Board

Season
We normally attend one meet in the fall semester (at Virginia Tech). During the spring, we go to about three or four competitions. One of these is our home meet, which is held in February/March. The others tend to be in Maryland, North Carolina, or other states on the east coast. Nationals is held at a different place every year. It is a 5 day competition in April. This upcoming year it will be in Utah!

Conference
We participate in the NAIGC conference.

Tryouts
There are no try-outs. Everyone is welcome to join the team!

Membership Requirements
Members must attend all fundraisers and at least three community service activities per semester. We also strongly encourage attending at least one practice a week.

Dues
Dues are usually $100-$115 per year. There is a reduced price if you only want to participate for a semester. We try to do enough fundraisers to reduce additional costs, but there may be some travel fees.

Practice Schedule
We practice Sunday through Thursday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the gymnastics room in Godwin.

Achievements

• In the '09-'10 season, the women placed 4th at nationals!
• In the '08-'09 season, the women placed 6th out of 50+ teams at nationals, and the men placed 3rd!
