James Madison University's Sport Clubs Program is a unique campus experience emphasizing recreational participation opportunities, student development, and leadership activities. Sport Clubs are strictly voluntary, student managed and offer activities that are recreational, instructional, and competitive in nature.

JMU placed 5th overall! Pat, Scott and I placed 17th, 13th and 11th respectively out of a field of 50ish fencers.
Epee (Scott Y., Aaron, Walter)
Out of 16ish teams, JMU placed 3rd overall! Out of 50ish fencers, Scott Young made it to the top 8 and came in 7th overall.
WOMENS
Foil (Nicole, Sarah, Megan)
Out of 13 teams, JMU came in 3rd place! Out of a field of 37 fencers, Megan, Nicole and Sarah took 3rd, 5th and 6th place respectively.
Saber (Nikki, Melanie, Delia)
Out of 8 teams, JMU came in 5th place! Melanie and Delia, like our men's saber team, had never fenced saber before, but even so they managed to defeat more than a handful of opponents. Nikki made it to the top 8, and went on to win the individual event! Way to get 1st place Nikki!

Smithfield Sprint Triathlon @ Smithfield, Virginia this weekend Triathlon club raced on 3/29 Result: 25 members finished and 7 placed in their age groups!
A sprint distance triathlon that everyone from the team finished despite the cold weather and gusting winds. The distance was a 300 meter swim, 10 mile bike, and 5k run.

Angels Triathlon in Lynchburg, VA
This race supports the Angel's foundation meaning everyone who races, races with a loved one who has passed away in mind and the money goes to the Angels Foundation. They brought 25 members with 22 of them racing and the rest cheering.
Result: One of their relay teams won first place and 3 other members placed in their age group. As a team they won the Collegiate Challenge and brought home a trophy!
