This American Red Cross course will train the students in the all skills and techniques necessary to become a professional lifeguard. The class covers equipment based rescues, spinal injury management, and post - rescue care. Students will learn how to interact with the public.
This course also includes First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications.

Level: 2
Pre Req: Pre - course swim will be conducted in the first class. The test includes a continuous 300 yd swim (must be proficient in freestyle and breaststroke) and retrieving a 10 lb. brick from the bottom of the pool and swimming 20 yards with the brick. The student must pass this test to be in the course.

Level 1
For those new to swimming or swim instruction programs.
Level 2
For those familiar to swimming and have some instruction in swimming skills.
Level 3
For those who are active in swimming and have had extensive instruction in swimming skills.
