Guard Start is an American Red Cross program that is designed to build lifeguarding skills in youth ages 11-14 years old. 

It creates a foundation of knowledge, attitude and skills for our future lifeguards. GuardStart is a great first step toward a job as a lifeguard. This program is NOT a lifeguard certification course.

Dates/Times:

Guard Start will not be offered Summer 2012.

This is a weeklong day camp. Drop off is 8:30am and pick up is 4:30pm.

Pre-Requisites:

Swim the front crawl for 25 yards continuously while breathing to the front or side, tread water for 1 minute using arms and legs, and submerge and swim a distance of 10 feet underwater.

Registration Information

Camp UREC is $145 per week for each child registered. This camp is open to the public.
