The SOA (Student Officials Association) is an organization consisting of a group of officials who are committed to refereeing numerous intramural sports and advancing their knowledge to officiate at higher levels. We are comprised of students from numerous backgrounds and majors who have a common interest to make sure students are provided with safe and fair games. The SOA is involved in refereeing intramurals, tournaments for sport clubs, Greek life, and other organizations along with the Harrisonburg community.

Bring your passion for sports and join this group of dedicated officials. The SOA will help you develop all the knowledge of intramural rules and regulations. Through this organization you may have the opportunity to become a larger part of the intramural program at UREC and gain more officiating experience within the JMU and local communities.
