The Basics of Online Registration

    How to choose a team:

    1. Check entry dates for the activity you want to participate in. Organize a team:  it can be a fraternity, sorority, independent, or co-rec.
    2. All registration is done online. Registration begins on designated Monday's at 9am, first come-first served. All registration end at 11:30pm Thursday.
    3. Team rosters must include all players JAC Card (PeopleSoft) numbers.
    4. Select a manager who will be able to attend a mandatory manager's meeting (on Monday following sign-ups).

    Fees: Your Deposit on Flex
    For all sports requiring officials, teams must pay a $20 forfeit bond which is debited from a FLEX account and returned if team does not foreit. For all sports requiring supervisors only, a $10 forfeit bond will be debited from a FLEX account and returned if team does not foreit. All forfeit bonds will be paid at time of Manager's meetings.

    1. Choose the Sport you wish to play
    2. Click on the icon above to get to the registration site
    3. Follow the directions to register your team or you as a free agent
    How to Register

    1. You will need to create a new account before you can sign up a team. It takes less than 2 minutes and you will last for the entire year.
    2. Click New Account. You will need to create a user name and create a password.
    3. Enter a Member ID Number, this is your JAC card number. If faculty/staff you will need to add zeros before your JAC card number.
    4. Enter Last Name. Must be as exactly as JMU lists your name, please confirm with e-campus prior to registering.
    5. Enter First Name. Must be as exactly as JMU lists your name, please confirm with e-campus prior to registering.
    6. Enter a local phone number.
    7. Enter email address with @jmu.edu or @hotmail.com
    8. It is optional to include your local address.
    9. Click Submit.
    10. If problems arise please contact Aaron Combs at 568-8711 or combsad@jmu.edu. Please also refer to e-campus to make sure of the information JMU has listed for you.

     

    How to Create a Team

    1. On the left hand column, click on Fall 2006.
    2. Click the sport (ex. Flag Football).
    3. Click on a day of play your team is interested in playing the majority of their games.
    4. Choose the League you want to play in (Ex. Men’s Level 1).
    5. Choose the time of day for your team.
    6. If there is open spots in that league you can add your team (no apostrophes).
    7. Click Buy Team to reserve your spot.
    8. You can add players to your roster at this point by entering their JAC card numbers and names or you can lock your team and invite your friends to join.
    9. You can add players from the Free Agent list by choosing the Free agent line on the bottom line of your registration page.
    10. There is a minimum number of players required to reserve your spot. (ex. Flag Football – 5 players).
    11. Attend the captain’s meeting and pay the forfeit bond of $20 and your team is in.
    12. Failure to attend the meeting will result in your team being dropped and a team from the waiting list being added.

    Free Agent

    1. Follow all the same directions for How to Register.
    2. On the left hand column choose Free Agent Status
    3.. You may select a day and time you can play and the team will know who is interested in playing on their team.
    4. It is suggested that you attend that captain's meeting to improve your chances of getting on a team.

    Level 1: Participants or teams who are new or may have previous exposure to the sport, and just want to participate in a fun and social environment. Not open to club members.
    Level 2: Participants or teams who have experience playing the sport and an understanding of rules and strategies involved.
    Level 3: Participants or teams who played the sport at a competitive level, have knowledge and skills necessary to compete, and have the desire to play against the most competitive students, faculty and staff on campus.
    *Good sportsmanship is essential to all levels of play.
