Informal Racquetball Ladder
Contact Ben Schlief (schlieba@jmu.edu) with questions.
Joining the ladder:
Simply fill out a slip with your name, phone number, and email the other players will be able to use to contact you. Your name must be placed on the lowest available open rung.
The ongoing competition:
At anytime throughout the year contact a player on either of the two rungs above your name and arrange a time to play.
If the player from the higher rung wins the match than he/she has successfully defended their spot and no changes to the ladder will occur.
However, if the player from the lower rung wins the match than he/she will take over the spot of the player that was on the higher rung, while the player that was on the higher rung would drop to the lower rung the challenger had previously occupied.
The few, simple rules:
- The informal recreation racquetball ladder is open to all UREC participants
- You may only challenge up to two rungs above your current rung
- Every player on the ladder must initiate at least one challenge every 14 days
- Every player must accept at least one challenge every 14 days
- Failure to initiate at least one challenge and accept at least one challenge every 14 days will result in your name being removed from the ladder
- If your name is removed from the ladder you must restart from the lowest available open rung if you wish to continue with the racquetball ladder competition
- If you are joining the ladder for the first time, or rejoining the ladder, your name must be placed on lowest available open rung
- YOU MUST RECORD RESULTS ON PAPER AND PLACE THEM IN THE RESULTS FOLDER WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE COMPLETION OF A CHALLENGE
