Wellness Passport
This course will train students in the skills and techniques necessary to become a progessional lifeguard. The class covers equipment based rescues, spinal injury management, and post-rescue care. Students will learn how to interact with the public in a professional manner. This course also includes First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications.
A pre-course swim will be conducted in the first class. The test includes a continuous 300 yard swim and retrieving a 10 lb. brick from the bottom of the pool. The student must pass this test to be in the course.

Pre Req: 25 yards of freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, butterfly, elementary backstroke an side stroke and one minute of treading water and floating on his/her back.

Cost: $100
This course will instruct participants on how to teach the American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim program for adults, children and infants. The class is over the course of two weekends and will require course work to be completed outside of the class time.
A pre-course swim will be conducted in teh first class. The participants must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, butterfly, elementary backstroke and side stroke. They must also be able to tread water and floating on their back for one minute.

Level Definitions
Level 1
For those new to swimming or swim instruction programs.
Level 2
For those familiar to swimming and have some instruction in swimming skills.
Level 3
For those who are active in swimming and have had extensive instruction in swimming skills.
