Learn to Climb 101
This is the program for participants who have not climbed before. No required knowledge, skill or physical ability (Level 1). Our adventure assistants will teach you about the safety systems, equipment, and techniques used at our indoor climbing wall.
By the end of this program you will have the knowledge and experience that will help you feel more comfortable while climbing and prepare for the Belay and Climb program.

Belay and Climb 101
You have climbed a few times before - are you ready for the next step? Through this program you will learn how to use the equipment and safety systems for belaying other climbers at the wall. After completing this program you will be ready to take the written and practical belay certification assessment. For those who are new to adventure programs. No required knowledge, skill or physical ability.

Climbing Technique
Ready to take your climbing to the next level? The climbing technique program will help you learn how to make better use of your footwork, the importance of core strength, and show to how/when to use s specific moves such as layback, stemming, and matches in your climbing. No required knowledge or skill related to adventure activities but requires good physical ability (Level 2).

Intro to Lead Climbing
Ready for the sharp end of the rope? So, you have been climbing for a while now and you are ready to start leading. Requires previous experience and skill in adventure activities and is very physically demanding (Level 3).
Make sure you learn proper technique and avoid mistakes like back clipping and Z-clipping. Our climbing instructors will show you the basics and then let you mock lead on our wall.

Reach Out Climb
Climbing competitions are a great way to meet other climbers of various experiences levels, pick up new techniques, and have a great time. Emphasis is placed on fun and learning rather than competition. You just select the level that best matches your experience and we will put you in that group. For those who are new to adventure programs and for those with experience and skill in adventure activities. May be physically demanding (Levels 1-3). All proceeds go to support local trail and climbing site access and preservation. LEARN MORE!

Family Weekend Wall Climb
If you want to add a challenge to your Family Weekend, then look no further. UREC is not just about basketball and weights anymore. Parents, siblings and friends are all welcome to sign up for a morning of fun on our 35-foot indoor climbing wall. For those who are new to adventure programs. No required knowledge, skill or physical ability (Level 1).

Top Rope Anchors 101
Learn to set up your own top rope systems safely and efficiently in this clinic. We will be teaching the same systems used by Climbing Guides, Outward Bound, and NOLS. For those who are new to adventure programs. No required knowledge, skill or physical ability (Level 1).
